Each table runner is made by the talented women of Anchal Project, a nonprofit social enterprise that addresses the exploitation of women around the world by using design thinking to create employment opportunities, products and markets that support empowerment. Anchal means “the decorative edge of a sari used to provide comfort and protection to loved ones.”
Made by the talented women of Anchal in India, each runner is signed by the artisan, herself. Each piece connects you directly to her story and journey to empowerment. While each artisan has a unique story, all are empowered through the community and opportunities that Anchal’s holistic program provides.
